Garth Brooks and his wife are divorcing after 14 years. Do you know of any hollywood-type marriages that last?
Actor Richard Farnsworth died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was just in The Straight Story. He was diagnosed several years ago with terminal cancer accourding to his daughter.
It sure seems like there has been a rash of strange hollywood deaths in the past few years.

Speaking of weird. Paula Jones, the lady whose sexual harrassment lawsuit against President Clinton lead to his impeachment trial, is going to pose nude for Penthouse.
Now first off, she ain't that good looking. And second, why does someone claim sexual harrassment and then pose for a nudie magazaine?

I thought the deaths of Phil Hartman and the wife of William Shatner were really weird.

Roadrunner, your comment is so true!!! Why file suit for sexual harrassment, then pose nude in a major magazine...obviously she wanted the publicity more than she cared about her own decency (which she has none of)

Speaking of push-up bras, http://www.foxnews.com is reportingA Scottish lingerie company is about to create a tempest in a C-cup by offering actress Liz Hurley a record $4 million to support its newfangled push-up bra. Wow. That's a lot of money for underwear.

http://www.foxnews.com also reportedAccording to police reports, the thief broke into Cooper's Paradise Valley home Saturday and made off with more than $6,400 in clothes, shoes and video cameras belonging to one of Cooper's daughters. The burglar also took four of Cooper's gold records and a double-gold record from Guns N' Roses. So what do you do with stolen gold records? If you show them to anybody or try to sell them, you'll get busted.

Did you hear about David Spade? He got attacked by one of his employees with a stun gun. http://www.cnn.com says:BEVERLY HILLS, California (AP) -- David Spade was attacked with a stun gun in his home on Wednesday by an employee who was apparently attempting to rob him, police said.
The 36-year-old star of the NBC sitcom "Just Shoot Me" suffered minor injuries and was treated by paramedics on the scene, police Sgt. Tom Van Ausdell said.
The employee, whom police identified as David Malloy, 29, of Los Angeles, had fled by the time police arrived at Spade's home. He was arrested hours later and booked on suspicion of burglary, assault with a deadly weapon and assault with a stun gun, police said. Bail was set at $50,000.
Stun guns don't kill people. People kill people.
David Spade is one of my favorite comedy actors. I really liked him in the movies with Chris Farley. They were stupid, but funny.

What about Robert Downey Jr.? Can you beleive he's in trouble again? I hate to say it, but it didn't surprise me much, although I was disappointed, I liked him on Ally McBeal.

Ugh. I hate to sound arrogant and self-confident, but I really don't think I'd get that messed up if I were famous. I honestly cannot see it happening. Maybe they can't either, but stubborn or not, that's how I feel. :)

Oh and yes, Paul Jones is not an attractive woman at all. Darva Conger looks okay, but is still not the type you'd expect to take her clothes off - wasn't she a "Christian gal"? :) All Christians sin, but this is ridiculous.
Who's next to pose? Elian Gonzalez? Janet Reno? Every single person in the news? Sheesh.
FYI: not a big Monica fan (although I don't hate her), but I'm glad she turned down the offers she apparently go. Also glad "Jenna" from Survivor did as well.

Girls, Jim Carrey is available again.
They split up. {bawling}

What is that, the 3rd time Carrey has split up? The second time with a girl he co-starred in a flick with (Lauren Holly)? I think it's safe to assume the problem is on his end.

http://www.foxnews.com reports:Madonna will don a tiara once worn by Princess Grace of Monaco when she gets married in Scotland next week, the singer's official fan club Web site said Thursday.
In addition to the Cartier tiara, worn by Princess Grace at her daughter Caroline's wedding in 1978, Madonna will wear a Chloe dress designed by Stella McCartney, daughter of Paul McCartney, the site said. That's nice. My least favorite actress wearing the tiara of one of my most favorite actresses.

CNN (http://www.cnn.com/2001/SHOWBIZ/Movies/01/13/movieadpulled.ap/index.html) reports:NEW YORK (AP) -- The makers of a film described as dead-on accurate and a "by-the-numbers recreation" of the days surrounding the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 were not as precise when it came to the print advertisements for the movie.
New Line Cinemas, which is distributing the Kevin Costner vehicle, "Thirteen Days," is pulling a two-page ad that ran in some newspapers, because the collage-like images include military equipment that did not exist at the time of the missile crisis, The New York Times reported Saturday.Oops.

CNN (http://www.cnn.com/2001/SHOWBIZ/TV/01/11/flockhart.baby.ap/index.html) says that Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal) has adopted a baby boy. "I have always wanted to adopt a child and I am overjoyed that I have been blessed with a beautiful and healthy son," Flockhart said. "I'm completely enchanted and awe-struck."
The 36-year-old actress added that she still hopes to give birth someday and may adopt another child.
Because of her hectic schedule, the new single mom said her son will spend a lot of time on the set of her Emmy-winning Fox comedy.Gee. Isn't that a great environment to raise a child.

Yes, I had heard about both of those couples splitting up....it is really sad...especially Tom and Nicole...they seemed so close, but I guess any marriage is hard, and it must be even harder when you are so famous and constantly under such scrutiny (sp?) by the public and the media. It is sad.

Anything about this guy is weird:Michael Jackson paid a witch doctor to place a curse on DreamWorks partners David Geffen and Steven Spielberg, and wears a prosthetic tip on his nose, claims an article in Vanity Fair magazine.
...
Jackson allegedly paid a witch doctor $150,000 in 2000 to put a hex on several Hollywood figures. Spielberg was allegedly included because he did not allow him to star as Peter Pan in "Hook." He blamed Geffen for sabotaging his career, the magazine said.
...
The article also claims that Jackson wears a prothesis for the tip of his nose because of a lack of cartilage due to excessive plastic surgery.http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A42595-2003Mar4.html

USA Today (http://www.usatoday.com/life/2003-04-26-foxx-arrest_x.htm) reports:Comedian Jamie Foxx and his sister were arrested early Saturday after allegedly refusing to leave a casino and then fighting with police officers called to escort them out, authorities said.
Foxx, 35, and Deidra Dixon, 25, refused to show identification when they entered Harrah's Casino about 4 a.m., then argued with security guards who ordered them to leave, said police Capt. Marlon A. Defillo. He said the two walked inside to a gambling table, then fought with police officers who were called to remove them.
Dixon struck one officer in the face, Defillo said. He said the officers used pepper spray and handcuffed them.
Foxx, booked with trespassing, battery on officers and resisting arrest, was released on $1,900 bond. Dixon, of Tarzana, Calif., was booked with trespassing, simple battery on officers and resisting arrest. That was dumb.

Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown went to Israel on a spiritual retreat to get ready for her upcoming Christmas Album. Do you think they'll entitle it, "Cocaine and Christmas"?
That's just about as funny as jewish Barbara Streisand doing her Christmas album.

http://yro.slashdot.org/yro/03/06/03/0046227.shtml?tid=153&tid=158&tid=99An anonymous reader writes "A Silicon Valley millionaire, Ken Adelman, is being sued by Barbra Streisand for $50 million. Adelman photographed Streisand's sea-side Malibu mansion using a 6 megapixel Nikon digital camera from a helicopter flying over the Pacific Ocean. The photograph, along with over 12,000 other photographs, is part of an aerial photographic survey of the California coastline. This photographic database is intended for use by environmental and scientific research projects interested in the health of the coastline and coastal erosion. Streisand's suit complains that the photograph is of extraordinary clarity and violates her right to privacy, as it shows details of the property that one would not ordinarily be able to see from the road or the beach. California has an 'anti-paparazzi' statute on the books." The world revolves around me. The world revolves around me. The world revolves around me. The world revolves around me. The world revolves around me. {headspin}
