Hmmmmm, now what. My husband says I talk too much, so I thought if i signed up on a message board, that I would have less to say to him at the end of the day. LOL
Anyway, not real sure where to go from here, but I do hope this site is much friendlier than some of the other ones out there. (The ones that have been around forever, and make you feel as though you are impossing on their community...sort of like being the new kid in school feeling all over again).
Soooo, hello from Arizona! I had to delete the word *sunny*, because today we are getting RAIN...yeah!!! Can't wait until my kids get home from school, so we can go play in the puddles!
Is there anybody else out there from Az.?
Have a teriffic day, cbreeze

Hello Cbreeze! I love the way you did your name. :) Welcome to the forum!

I have a friend who lives near Phoenix - and I've been through the state once. Do you like it there? I hear on the weather all the time how it's 118 degrees and always think OUCH! Now that's hot!

Thanks Blinc!
I was born and raised here in (not too sunny today)AZ, and I do love it. Probably due to the fact that I have a very low tolerence to cold, I doubt that I will ever move.
118 degrees, unfortunatly,we don't that high as often as I'd like, but I like the thought that I can go lay out by the pool, when family members in the MN, and even California area are digging up easter eggs out of the snow. LOL. Today it's raining :( so I'll have to work on my burn another day.

If you don't mind my asking, where abouts are you from?
My family back east was just telling me that I should go visit and watch the leaves change colors. Sounds very beautiful, but too cold for this desert rat. Do the leaves change with the seasons where you are from? Most of our leaves just fall off when they are still green. and our cactus, well......it just sits there, and if it's in the mood, it will display a flower from time to time.

Looking forward to catching up with you again. Until then....Live well, Laugh often, Love much....Cbreeze

cbreeze,

Thanks for joining. I think you will find that people are very nice at MarriedAdults.com. Our moderators (when we get some) and I will work hard to keep it that way, too.

I'm glad to hear that you talk too much. That's me also. We need more people like us here. Invite your friends.

blinc,

It's great to see you again. We've missed you. I saw your exciting news on coolsig. I hope that all goes well.

Cbreeze - I'm from North Carolina. The leaves do change color here - but not what I grew up with. I used to live in Michigan and the foilage was absolutely beautiful. I had to chuckle over the "unfortunately it doesn't hit 118 often"... Gads, I melt when it hits 90!! You really sound like your in the right place! :) Are you able to grow many flowers where you live? I absolutely adore lilacs and honeysuckle.... I wonder if they could survive there? We have some kind of cactus growing outside here... it was a houseplant gone berserk that I had to trim pieces off years ago. I put the pieces outside, never thinking they'd grow. The house plant died... but the one outside is going nuts! Isn't that the way it goes? ;)

Thank you James for the welcome back. I've missed you guys too! Things are going extremely well - as a matter of fact the major part of it may be done very soon. An elderly lady has donated 20 acres and a HUGE building to the county. If it passes inspections - we won't even have to build a shelter as expected. It will leave us with a lot of extra funds to fence in seperate areas, buy supplies, all kinds of things. It'll be a true blessing if everything works out. I'm keeping my fingers crossed just in case, but right now it looks like we're going to be in great shape! I'm so happy! :)

Welcome Cbreeze from sunny Texas. Hope you are enjoying Marriedadults.com. I think you will find people here very friendly and like James said it is monitored well to pervent the things you see happen on many other newsgroups.

I have family that lives in Phoenix. My parents just got back from visiting them and we were watching their videos they took. Wow... It is beautiful country. They had just moved into a new home and were in the backyard planting cactus. What was so amazing was they were using a pitch fork to dig a hole to put it in. They said they couldn't use a shovel because of the rocks. I asked where the flowers were and it seems only the cactus grows. But I guess with 118 degree weather your lucky that even grows.

I am also a talker and my husband also loves that I have found this group and my RV group to talk with (it gives his ears a break) :)

Hope to continue seeing you here contributing. Enjoy.
