Boy, everybody must luvvvvvvvvvvv my site. No feedback at all.

Seriously, folks. Give me some constructive criticism.

I changed the header and table headings today. Hopefully, The Forums will integrate a little better with the rest of the site.

Now I need to work on the "new thread" and "post reply" buttons. They come from vBulletin (http://vbulletin.com), the writers of my forum software. I like the graphic, but the purple doesn't fit my site.

I changed the colors on the "new thread" and "post reply" buttons. Instead of purple, they are now blue. For a while at least, the basic look and feel of the site are done.

I like the clean look of things. Seems nice and streamlined, without clutter. Easy to navigate!

The only suggestion I might humbly offer would be a welcome area? One where someone could post to say, "Hi, I'm new" and perhaps tell a little of themselves? I've seen it on several forums, and it seems to add a bit of a personal touch. Just a thought. :)

Great suggestion, blinc. I've already implemented it. Keep 'em coming.

I changed the menu bar (Main Forum, Profile, Register, Members, FAQ, and Search). Dumped the goofy icons, and tried to clean it up some.

What do you think?

I like it! I also just found the "wavey" smiley. I absolutely adore that one. You have a lot of really cute ones available... I try not to overuse them, but I just can't seem to help myself!

I did have a question about the smiley icons above the area when you're typing out a new post. I'm not quite sure how that is supposed to work? I can see where you can click to put the black dot in the circle, but I'm not quite sure what to do after that. I'm sorry, if I missed the explanation somewhere... maybe you could point me in the right direction? I do tend to wander around in confusion some days, so just giving ya a fair warning! *chuckle*

If you put a subject on your post, the message icon you choose shows up right next to it, like I did here.

The message icon is kind of like a smilie for your post.

BTW, if you start a new thread, the subject shows up as the title of the thread. If you want to add it to the top of your first post also, just go back and edit the post. Then you can add both a subject and message icon to your post if you want. I just did that to the first post on this thread.

Is the forum slow today or is it just my connection? It's driving me bonkers.

The top of the page shows up fast, I think because it is cached, and the bottom part which is querying the MySQL database is SLOOOOWWWWWW. Is it just me? I've asked other people and they didn't think it was slow.

It must have been my connection or something. It is flying today.

Aha! Thank you for the information.

Doesn't that just drive you batty? Mine gets so bogged down sometimes that it takes up to 30 seconds for a page to load. It has to be our server most of the time, since I've asked others and like your situation, they say their speed is fine. I'd love to get a cable hook-up out here, but so far there aren't any cable companies out here. We are looking into a satellite hook-up. They're supposed to be coming out with one that doesn't require an independent server in conjunction with the satellite server. That's what we're waiting for - can't hardly stand the wait for it! :)

I haven't seen anything that looks wrong. It's clean, it's easy, it's a nice atmosphere...well done!
If I come across anything I will let you know.

I'm a total *newbie* here, but just the same, being that this is my first day on your site, I want to tell you *I like it, I like it*. It's not only user friendly, but the people are also friendly! I've wandered around a bit, and guess what, so far i have not get lost. ( taken a few wrong turns maybe, but that's due to my concentration, or lack there of........there are so many *awesome* threads here, that it's easy to get distracted.)

Anyway, from the *newbie*....I love your place:)

I would change the bright yellow...I like the yellow on part of the forums, but too much in the header can really hurt a guy's eyes at night in a poorly lit room. :D Not a big deal, but I personally would change it.

No, I don't have a site of my own... I can barely figure out what I'm doing half the time as it is! I meant that I've been on a place, it takes forever for me to get something to load - when I ask, others aren't having the problem.... that's what made me think it's our server. Still, haven't heard a word on when that satellite connection will be available. AAAAAHHH! Need speed over here! :D

Didn't I see a suggestion area here somewhere before? Where people could post suggestions for things they'd like to see added? I've been looking for that thread or area of the forum... ok, maybe I'm hallucinating again! {toothy}

What about a riddles/quiz/trivia area on the forum?
