Hey girls,
Do any of you women enjoy RV'ing. My family tent camped for all of our daughters childhood then about 5 years ago we bought a pop-up and did that for about 3 years. We now have a 28' Travel Trailer.
Our daughters are grown. Our oldest is moving out in December and our youngest is moving to Oklahoma in August to start her first semester at Oral Roberts University. So my husband and I take the trailer at least every other weekend for a wonderful time by ourselves. After 25 years of marriage we are finially having time to ourselves. YEAH!
Just wondering if there were any other women who enjoyed the outdoors.

No other girls like to camp? I wonder why that is? Maybe the guys would like to talk about this subject. Hum... I'll have to think of something else you girls might like.

Hi CJ! I used to love to go camping! Gosh it brings back a lot of memories. :) I've only been RV'ing a few times, but there is something about that home atmosphere in new places that brings a comfort, doesn't it? :)

At least there is one of you that knows what I'm talking about. I guess that could be good because if too many find out what an awesome experience it is there may become too many on the road.
I guess I'll keep it a secret.
My favorites: Campfires, bike trails, swimming, watching wildlife (nothing bigger than raccoons and armadillos we have alot of gators here) etc. A couple of weeks ago we were camping at a state park and they were having an open weekend on the gators (they said it keeps the population in check) and alot were caught but one in particular was 12 feet long and I swim in that water :0 YIKES.

I think one of the neatest things that happpend while we were camping happend up in Michigan. There was a main river and then a little feeder stream coming into it. We pitched our tent back off the main river, next to the little stream. The next morning, just as dawn was breaking, we heard this tremendous splashing noise. Thinking there must surely be a bear somewhere in the stream, next to our tent... we cautiously poked our heads out. Nothing. We finally ventured out enough to look over the edge of the embankment and there were thousands and thousands of salmon making their way upstream!
It was one of the most amazing sites I'd ever seen. The stream was literally full of the salmon making their way upstream. It was almost impossible to find even a one foot area where there wasn't fish. We stood there for hours just in awe of nature that day. It was a tremendously wonderful experience! :)

Amazing experience. But thats the funny things about nature you actually have to be out in it to experience it:)
We love to bike ride the trails after our morning coffee when it's still really early. The forest is just waking up and smells are all crisp. The deer and fawns will be out, squirrels will be scurring along, raccoon and armadillo are sleeping until night, wow I love it.

I used to go all the time with my grandparents when my grandfather was alive. But I haven't been in a long time. I'd love to go camping, but my hubby isn't big into it and I'm too chicken to go by myself. Maybe this summer I can convince him.
