Cowboy Poetry: Reincarnation

I fell in love with Cowboy Poetry years ago when I first heard the poem "Reincarnation." For some reason, this poem just popped into my mind tonight and I thought I'd share it.

My eyes jes a lit up
when I sawr the subject line
Me thinks, I thought, whoop-dee-do
Time t'a git them fingers fly'n

I clicked on the thread
an-tis-a-pate-n a glory-us repose
when my eyes beheld a link..a link?
what'ever do you suppose?

I clicked that link, right quickly, too
the blood pumpin' thru my veins,
I read, and smiled, and read some more
And soon figgured out what he's a sayin's

My oh my, what a ditty it' twas
that sure was a dee-lite,
I truly enjoyed it, yes I did
An' it conjures up quite a site!
