Soon after our last child left home for college, my husband
was resting next to me on the couch with his head in my lap.
I carefully removed his glasses. "You know, honey,"
I said sweetly, "Without your glasses you look like the same
handsome young man I married."
"Honey," he replied with a grin, "Without my glasses,
you still look pretty good too!"

Finding one of her students making faces at others on the
playground, Ms. Smith stopped to gently reprove the child.
Smiling sweetly, the Sunday School teacher said, "Bobby,
when I was a child, I was told that if I made ugly faces,
it would freeze and I would stay like that."
Bobby looked up and replied, "Well, Ms. Smith, you can't
say you weren't warned."
