My husband and I love to fish! We fish a lot on the Chesapeake Bay. A couple of weeks ago, I caught my first citation!! Yaaay! It was a 3 lb. 3 oz. croaker. Definitely not the biggest fish I've ever caught but big for it's species.

I love saltwater fishing more then any other type... but have probably tried everything. Are there any other fishermen out there? Got any good fish stories? ;)

I like to fish. My parents and grandparents have a house on a lake in East Texas. My wife and I went out there more often before our daughter arrived on the scene. I'd like to go this Fall and get some fishing in. I've just been too busy.

I've heard they have some huge largemouth bass in texas. What's the biggest one you've ever caught?

The biggest largemouth I've ever caught was near 6 lbs. I had one hooked once... Arrgh! It was huge... got it right up to the side of the boat, the hubby was about to net it, when it flipped it's head sideways and snapped the line. I'd estimate it was close to 8 lbs. Around here, that's pretty big.

We love to fish. As a matter of fact my husband comes from several generations of men and women loving to fish. My brother-in-law holds a record for largest fish (he has it mounted in a huge aquarium) in I think it was Sam Rayburn in East Texas.

James which lake does your family live on? I bet it is one close to us that we frequent.

I caught a 14 1/2 Pound Lingcod. I always go for a salt water fishing trip every summer.

Woo Hoo! Another fisherman! {toothy}

A 14-1/2 pound ling cod? Good grief, that's a monster! Around here, they're around 2 pounds or so. Wow. I bet that one put up a good fight, the small ones sure do.

We go fishing for striped bass (rockfish) in the winter around here, have you ever caught any of those? Those babies will snap your rod if you're not careful. Someone caught a 65 pounder... egads! I just can't imagine that since they fight so hard. Do you flounder fish? I loooove flounder!

Are you talking about the fresh-water rockfish? The one's with the red eyes? If you caught a 7lb one of those, that was a big'un! Do you get the saltwater striped bass up there? uh, where is up there anyways?

Striped bass season ends here on Dec. 31st. *sniff* no more fishing for them til next fall. Oh well, they sure are fun to catch and we always have flounder season coming up towards June.

I grew up fishing. When I was little my dad used to take me freshwater fishing. I did lots of tournaments. I once won a worm box for coming in 1st place. I can't remember how big the trout was that I caught though. As I got a bit older my dad stopped freshwater and stuck with his fave, saltwater fishing. He taught me how and I love bluefishing! When I was a baby he caught a big one and he went around bragging how it was bigger than me! A few years back we were out on his boat and I caught a 14 pounder, which isn't that big, but, if only it could have waited a week for the Bluefish Tournament we would have placed 2nd that year. That was a bummer. I haven't been in a few years due to boat troubles and this year it looks like I'll need some assistance, but hopefully next year I'll be back in the swing of things ready to catch me some big ones!

Egads I bet that was fun! Bluefish are one of the hard fighting fish! Ran like the dickens I bet! Was your reel smokin? {toothy} Dag, it'd be great fun to get you out in our boat in the Chesapeake Bay, bet you'd have a blast. We used to go down to Cape Hatteras for the Bluefish runs... where they school and chase the fish right up out of the water onto the beach. I really didn't believe it til I actually saw it. A school of blues ran a school of trout right up out of the water! The trout were trying to get away from the blues. It was amazing! Got a bunch of trout in the cooler along with a couple of blues! That's a big ol' blue you caught there Kezzer, gosh it's got me hankering for spring to hurry up and get here so we can get back out fishing again! aaaaaaaah!! Fishing fever! {nurse}

I know! Although I'm kinda scared to go out on the boat this summer, the people on other boats might mistake me for a big ol' whale and try to harpoon us! lol!

Wellll, I don't like to fish as much as Mr. Freezer does! Living in Alaska, we fill our freezer with silver salmon, king salmon & halibut. Trout usually gets eaten right away, pan fried on a campfire.

Hubby is a fishing freak. ANY kind of fishing, but he's especially fond of fly fishing.

My best catch was an 80lb. halibut! Yumyumyum! Beer battered nuggets anyone? Those things are really hard to pull up so I admit I had to have help.

It is a blessing to live in a place that provides food!

{toothy} Kezzer, you're too funny! I'm sure no one will be aiming a harpoon at ya!

FW... an 80lb. Halibut! AAAAAH! How cool is that!! I bet you had a blast pulling that bad boy up! We're happy to catch a 5 pounder flounder. I've seen the halibut on fishing shows... they look like a giant version of a flounder, think they're related? Amazing. {eek} That must have been such fun!
