R-rated films not as popular

Maybe people's efforts of not watching R rated movies are paying off finally! Got the message Hollywood?!

I didn't help much though because I only saw one movie (Ice Age) on that list plus two others (John Q PG-13 and Jonah G) in the theatres all last year. :( I have a sad life in the entertainment area I guess. :( I'm just glad they were all three great movies! {cool}

I can't believe that Star Wars outsold LOTR. Is that because of when they came out?

I think this is a good thing. To me it shows that writers are working harder to be clever instead of just being obscene.

One thing that frustrates me is the number of PG-13 movies with "BN" - Brief Nudity. Why not just leave it out entirely. I don't want to look at anybody's butt for 10 seconds.

I've noticed that. There's a bunch of movies out right now where they couldn't resist showing someone's hiney - like it really improves the quality of the movie.

I'll tell you what I'm tired of - the topless bar cliche in cop movies. Gimme a break. Do all cops go to topless bars? I doubt it.

I usually don't pay attention to the ratings that much (I don't go to many movies anyway). Usually I'm either surprised that it's rated R, or surprised that it's not rated R. I don't particularly care what the rating is, either, if it looks interesting i'll go. If not, i won't.

I hate to say this,but i prefer R rated movies,especially in Action movies...

PG-13 movies generally are too lame and dont have enough UUMMPP to so speak....

Kids today all know and use LANGUAGE so it doesnt do any good showing a PG-13 movie opposed to an R movie like they used to.....
