What a first day!!!

The Suns beat the Spurs on two lucky banked shots.

Then Nowitski scores 46 points to lift Dallas over Portland.

This is fun.

Looks like the Lakers are going to pound the Twolves.

The Mavericks are 3-0!!!! Hooray!!! I hope they sweep Portland and get some rest.

They got stomped by Portland the other day. I wonder if they will finish them off tonight. {question}

Boy, it sure was a close game 7 right up until the end. Congrats, Jim, on your home team beating the Trailblazers. It's funny that they won by 12 because the game was really a lot closer than that.

I was at Game 1 of the Mavericks vs. Kings series last night. I have just three words for it: Pa the tic.

It was awful. The game wasn't even as close as the final score.

I was at game 2 of the Mavericks vs. Kings series last night. It was wonderful. It gives you a little hope. The Mavs scored 83 points in the first half to set an NBA record for most points scored in a playoff game first half.

Woohooo!!!! The Mavs beat the Kings again last night. We're up 2-1. I hope we can beat them again tonight.

It's not looking good for Jim's Mavs tonight. Sacramento is leading 44-32 with about 3 minutes left in the half.

Wow!!! San Antonio and Dallas are both up 2-1. It didn't look good for the Mavericks in the first half, and then it didn't look good for the Spurs in the second half, but the both managed a win. Let's see if they can win on the road. {smash}

The Lakers are outta there!!!!

It doesn't look like Dallas is going to win game 6. The Kings are hot.

The Mavs won and advanced to Round 3 versus the Spurs!!

Holy Cow!!! Can you believe the Mavericks beat the Spurs, and they only led San Antonio less than 70 seconds out of the entire game?

49 out of 50 free throws? Come on.

I thought Dallas had no chance.

Who do you think wins tonight? Nets or Pistons?

Looks like the Mavericks are toast. Nowitski is injured.

Can you say San Antonio vs. New Jersey?

I sure with the Mavs would win one tonight so that I could see a game 6 at home, but I don't think it will happen.

I'm hoping that they don't play Dirk. I wouldn't want him to worsen his injury and have it affect next season or his career.

Not looking too good right now for the Mavs...bummer!

WOW! They actually pulled off a win...hope they can hang in there!

Well, Jim, it's going to be San Antonio vs. New Jersey.

Your Mavs folded in the fourth.

What a disappointment for the Mav's and their fans, but there is always next year...let's just hope the Cowboys can redeem themselves this season. We are (still hanging in there) big Cowboy fans, but it won't be the same without Emmit Smith!

Man, with at 42-42 at the half, I thought that the first Spurs/Nets game was going to be interesting; but the Spurs are dominating in the second half. Ouch.

Spurs have one down, three to go. I hope this isn't a sweep. I'd like to see 7 games.

The Nets evened the series tonight at 1-1 by winning 87-85. I hope this one goes to seven games.

.....

I'm just posting this here 'cause it's an NBA thread.

The Portland Jailblazers seem to be recognizing their problem... they ran a full page ad in the paper detailing their new "player code of conduct"... and lowering ticket prices while they're at it, to get the fans on their side.
I've got a link to the story, uh, somewhere.... here: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/story?id=1591916
