View Full Version : Making money on the net
I don't mean the big companies that get money from investors. I'm talking about regular people making hundreds or even thousands of dollars a month from their online business.
Do you know any? Have you thought about becoming one? I wonder, because some sites would have you belive it's really easy to make money on the net.

I haven't really tried to make any money on the net. We've reserved a few domain names for sale, but those were really for clients.
I know someone in DC who sells a lot of disability insurance on the net.
I have another friend who is starting a Website development/promotion business, but it is just getting going.
I've been thinking about an on-line buisness.
All I have to do is come up with an idea.
Seriously, I'ld like to try it sometime in the future.
I wonder if mailing lists are a good way. I have several mailing lists with Topica.com (http://www.topica.com).
In their last newsletter they interviewed one of the list owners who was making something like 4000$ a month from his list. The list was one that sends you an email everyday containing one joke or anecdote. He asked list members to send him those, so he didn't have to invent them or look for them too hard. He had something like 120,000 subscribers to his list and he was making a couple of hundreds of dollars which each email he sent in ads revenue. Incredible, isn't it?
Do you thibk this goes to show that on the internet all you need is a good idea?
