According to a USA Today/CNN/Gallup Poll, trust in the media has slipped. Only 36% believe that the news organizations get the facts straight.

That is down from 54% in 1989 - about the time of the fall of communism. It slipped to 32% in December of 2000 during the messup with the Bush/Gore elections.

So, do you trust the media?

There are many aspects to this question. Do you think they are biased on the conservative or liberal side? Do you think they get the facts right?

Yeah - like I think Lizzie Borden would be the ideal babysitter! :D

I think a lot of times they want so badly to be the first to report a story that they go on without really knowing all the facts. I do wish they would consider what families have to go through, because of what they report before really having researched it.

Can you believe that mess with the NY Times and Jayson Blair? What a jerk!

It is people like him that give news reporting such a bad image and he thinks it is funny...weird guy!

I think that they are biased in the conservative side only because they don't want to lose ratings.

It's horrible, my parents believe everything. It bothers me that they don't show as much perspective from the other side as they do ours...probably why many that I know resort to BBC.

Most people would disagree and say that they have a liberal bias.
