http://www.foxnews.com.edgesuite.net/story/0,2933,94868,00.htmlCHARLESTON, W. Va. — In shootings bearing an eerie resemblance to the sniper-style attacks that plagued the Washington, D.C., region last fall, two people were killed in separate incidents Thursday, just four days after a similar killing of another man.
A man and a woman were shot outside Kanawha County convenience stores late Thursday.
Kanawha County authorities said the shootings appeared to be random but that a single shooter could be responsible for the deaths. Police have not identified the weapon or weapons used. What a mess.

I was in DC the day Malvo or whatever his name was caught.
I knew that the odds of getting shot were slim, but I was still a little nervous. I accidentally missed my Metro stop and had to ride to the next one, get off, and ride back. The Metro station where I got off was one that was out in the woods of Virginia above ground. It was a little uneasy to stand out on the platform surrounded by trees.

With the blackout stuff all they're talking about on the news, I hadn't heard about that yet.
Of course, I sure hope this doesn't get anywhere near the coverage it merited last year.

This year's "black pickup" is last year's "white van."
It's amazing and disturbing the effect just one person doing something stupid like this can have on the minds of everyone. If I was in your situation Jim, I would've been nervous too.

I think your brain says there is probably nothing to worry about, but your heart would still be pumping fast.
The ballistics matched on two of the bullets. I haven't heard about the third.

I heard yesterday that they matched the ballistics on the third bullet too.
I wonder if this was gang-related or another psycho.

Makes me sick, that someone can actually get some sort of thrill by hunting down human beings...not sure they even deserve a trial when caught!!! They must thrive on the publicity it gets them.

they showed a sketch of this one on our local news this afternoon.
It's very sad that it's happening again. Even more sad that someone needs attention so much that they'd do something like this.

I haven't heard much about this lately. Has anything happened?
