Especially for kezzer and her rough weekend :) Hope pancakes are good.

I also saw keithster on a little while ago. What's up man? :) But I think he left while I was in the kitchen... {blues}

Grrrrrr...Spent the entire evening trying to get my wireless router working again. I finally had abandon the one I've had no problems with for several months and start using the previous model.

lol theyeti! Thanks! :)
Today was a slightly better day, I am feeling better, but I ended up keeping the kids home because I thought they were sick. Ha ha funny on me! Actually they weren't too bad today, but still enough to grate on my nerves, especially for kids who told me they were sick. HAd a fairly good day at work and tomorrow I am not going to drum corps practice, since I am still sick and won't be able to play well, but instead I am going to my friends house so she can cut and color my hair. (she went to hairdressing school) SO even after Berta turned my hair orange a few months back I still have enough trust to let another person touch my hair! lol I will try and do before and after pics so you can all see.

30 lashes with a wet noodle for theyeti for making me look at pancakes every time I check in to this thread, but not actually serving me any. {smash}

Uffda. Career inventory thing was strange. It was proctored by the military, so there's three guys in army uniforms walking around telling us all to be quiet. One of them was flirting with all the girls too. Very strange.

We lost our game tonight. I was somewhat happy with my performance though. I got fouled FIVE times, which isn't good for my body any, but shows that I'm doing my job pretty well. I play defense so usually I should be the one chasing the ball and doling it out instead of the other way around. I also flew about 6 feet into the air at one point. I'm not quite sure how it happened but it was some sort of a "gentle collision," 'cause I wasn't hurt but it wasn't planned either. ;) Have to look at the video later.... {eek}
Overall I think our team was just suffering the effects of playing less than 24 hours ago. I got taken out with 20 minutesish left once the game was basically decided, since we have a game on Thursday too.

No morning class tomorrow! Yippee! {toothy}

Hello! {wavey}

I went to a soccer game this morning. Pretty good game. Started late 'cause apparently there was confusion about the start time. Sheesh.

Also, I wore a Hello My Name Is sticker around everywhere today. It's a study for my College Communications class. I have to do it some more too... I'll post the results when I get them all typed up, probably next week time. I think it will be interesting. What I found funny today is how some people turn their heads away as if to say, "I don't see you, so now I don't have to acknowledge your oddity!" even though almost nobody mentions it anyway.

I had to teach a class on respecting your spouse tonight.

Tomorrow, we're going to go see the movie, "Out of Time."

You taught a class, eh? Was it fun?
What kind of people were there?

Alec

I'm guessing married people.

It was somewhat fun. It was at church, and it was a married adult class. It was talking about how you were supposed to respect/honor your spouse. Unfortunately, most of it was aimed at the men, because we are the ones who mess it up the most.

Here is one of the stories I told. I got it from a Trent/Smalley book.Here’s the deal: This lesson is for you. Don’t sit there listening and elbowing your spouse every time you hear something you think he or she needs to work on. It is like the story of the man who in his personal devotions was reading Proverbs 31, the section of Proverbs that gives you a picture of the practically perfect wife. The more he read about this godly woman, the more frustrated he became with his own wife. Finally, he had had enough. He picked up the Bible, making sure he kept his finger on the verse to mark its place, and marched into the kitchen to confront his wife.

“Honey, do you know about this section of the Bible?”

She glanced at the Bible, recognizing the passage and replied, “Yes, I know that section.”

He waited, and unrewarded with further response he continued, “Look, I know you want to be a godly person, and if you knew about this section…”

Lifting an eyebrow, she repeated more firmly, “Listen—I know about that section.”

Straightening up to his full stature and towering over her at the table, he said, “If you know about this section, how come you don’t get up every morning and make me a hot meal?”

“Dear,” she said, “If you want a hot meal, light your cornflakes on fire!”

Howdy everyone. Thought I'd check in too. We took all 5 kids to the auction yesterday. Got us a nice ol' hay wagon and some other stuff - like a backboard and hoop for $2.50. Kids liked that one. ;)

Today was church and working the horse and getting the house cleaned up. Then went to help some friends "move" into a new house. They aren't really moving in just yet, I guess. They just wanted to show it off and get ideas for what to put where.

Gotta plan for next weeks livestock auction then the weekend after that the equipment auction. Kids are getting used to the auctioneer - now they can understand him. LOL Next they'll be talking like him.

LOL, Jim. Sounds like a good class. :) It's not just the men who mess up things like that. A lot of women don't respect their husbands too. They just do it in a different way - it's still just as bad.
