Did you hear about the story where the guy's ex-wife is filing for custody of their kids while he and his new wife are overseas fighting in the war?

The current wife had to choose between going AWOL and a judge in the states who will take the kids away if she goes back.

I'm trying to find a link to the story.

Amazing.

It sounds more complicated than your description of what was said on the radio.

Here's one that talks about the judge in Colorado.

I hadn't heard about that one yet.

It's kind of strange to think about when the people protecting the country (er... different topic ;) ) are parents who have to leave their children with someone else. Not the stereotypical fighting force.

My question is, if you're both in the armed forces, why did you have seven kids? Did you not see a problem like this down the road?

Yeah. Why would you would both sign up or have kids and both stay in? Doesn't make much sense to me. I think your family comes first, which means you make different career choices.

I just read that this lady got taken off active duty. Now she is negotiating with Hollywood producers to sell her story.
