I thought I would list some sample interview questions. You need to be prepared to answer these:

Tell me about yourself. (This is your chance to give a 2 minute resume. Condense your resume down to two minutes read aloud.)
What caused you to leave? Why do you want to change jobs? Why are you presently seeking employment?
What are you looking for? What are your current career goals? How have these goals changed in the last few years?
What are your strengths? Of what accomplishments are you most proud (in current and last positions)? What are some of your reasons for success? What do you consider to be your strongest qualities? Why do you suppose you were selected for your last job rather than someone else? What makes you a good investment as a potential employee?
What are your shortcomings? Tell me about some of your recent mistakes. What job-related criticism have you received from others? How might you be a risk as an employee?

This is just a start. What are some others?

Are you available to work overtime? Evenings? Weekends? Holidays?

I think the strangest thing I was ever asked, was when I was on my way in to the owner's office to be interviewed, and passed another young lady on the way out.

The owner smiled at me as I was seating myself and said, her resume is as good as yours... why should I hire you instead of her? I don't even remember what I said... he must have liked it though, he hired me. :)

Oh I hate those questions!

1. Tell me about you.

And why should I hire you.

Yucky! And they always ask!

I always feel like I'm bragging when I answer them, and I don't like doing that. I guess they won't just take, "Cuz I said so!" will they? :)

I know just what you mean TTP. It does feel like bragging doesn't it? No, they won't take a because "I said so"... shame that, it would save 'em SO much time, huh? *chuckle*
