Look at this chart. Talk about obstruction of justice.

It's sad that no one even cares.

What will be interesting is if Bush loses, will the Republicans use the same stupid tactics, or will they be honorable and let the new President make his appointments.

That's politics for ya.

Why is there such a big difference in the number of nominations submitted also? Are there that many more positions than 20 years ago?

How's this one for embarrassing -- Thomas B. Griffith, President Bush's nominee for the federal appeals court in Washington, has been practicing law in Utah without a state law license for the past four years, according to Utah state officials.

Griffith, the general counsel for Brigham Young University since August 2000, had previously failed to renew his law license in Washington for three years while he was a lawyer based in the District. It was a mistake he attributed to an oversight by his law firm's staff. But that lapse in his D.C. license, reported earlier this month by The Washington Post, subsequently prevented Griffith from receiving a law license in Utah when he moved there.

http://www.gallup.com/content/default.aspx?ci=12112PRINCETON, NJ -- The most recent Gallup Poll shows congressional job approval holding steady. Roughly 4 in 10 Americans currently approve of Congress, about the same level this measure has been at since February. I'm not saying the two are necessarily related, theyeti, but I'm sure stupid politics getting in the way of running government is a part of the low approval rating they currently have.

On Alec's post, how does a lawyer let his license lapse? That's pretty dumb.
