Karen,

I should just let you think I'm that smart. But, since your a fellow moderator and eventually my duh side will show, I got it out of the newspaper, but thought it was interesting also.

I guess I'll have to reconsider my decision not to vote this year. I just don't like any of our choices though:(

I don't think I've even registered since I've become able to vote?
Almost too much info there...still don't know if you all have figured out how old I am? {devil}

Sorry to deflate this thread, but this is a bogus list.

It's still important to vote, just don't use these as the reason.

Well Karen there you go. I just didn't think that duh side would surface so quickly. This was printed in our paper as a big quarter page ad. Thats ashame that they can get away with such as that. Sorry guys I'll try to be more diligent in researching before posting. Or better yet sticking with things that I know.

CJ,

If I had seen it in a newspaper ad, I would have posted it too. You can't research everything.

Yeah Roadrunner it would seem that the newspapers would not be allowed to post untruths. But, there you go another reason that you don't believe everything you see or hear.

My guess is that the newspaper editor doesn't even know it is untrue. If s/he did, s/he would have told the customer it might not be a good idea to run it.

I'm also pretty sure they print whatever you pay them to print in your ad.

Ugh, I've seen those all over the place, and I knew I couldn't really believe it. I sort of did, but had my doubts at the same time. Thanks for the links - they've definitely set the record straight! :)

I heard it broadcast on the Radio Station unseen2 and I listen to out here that Republicans are to vote on the 7th and Democrats are to vote on the 8th.*

I'll say nothing more. :p

Seriously guys - I do wonder - can you register to vote ON Election Day or is that too late? When is the deadline to register? With the race so close, I sure wish I had signed up earlier!

Anyone know?

Military Mom,

That's really funny. I don't think you can register on election day. I seem to remember trying to register very late once and not being able to. Of course, things could have changed since then. I'm sure you could find out on Monday. There is probably even a website somewhere that will tell you.

She got it from an ad in the paper, and none of them are true. You didn't read the thread close enough. :)

Ye, thats true, I just started reading over the post and though wow isnt that interesting than i looked at the dates, and NONE of them are true, then i looked more closely, and more than half the things werent even voted on, so I quickly replied in a sort of disbelief that people could believe that one vote matters, when the truth is that one vote doesnt matter.
