Anybody got any pics of their homes or their homes being built?

I may try and do that real soon. I would love to see pictures of other folks homes, too.

Probably not my home ;) Tho I suppose it might be a morale boost for most of the rest of you! :P

I really doubt that, Theyeti...a house is more than a pile of lumber, it's what's inside that counts....and I don't mean furniture!

I have a nice homey old retro beat-up comfy chair I guess... ;)

That's very nice, Jim, didn't realize you had a two story, also. I would like to post a pic of mine when we have landscaping, it is hard to get a pic of the front because it sits on a hill and for me to get the whole house in the pic I can't back up enough on the hill. May have to take one from another angle...

Teresa, your garden is absolutely gorgeous!!! I don't care how fancy a house is, if the yard is not beautiful, it just doesn't cut it! On the other hand, you can take a shack with a beautiful yard and it looks wonderful...go figure!!!

I can hardly wait to start on a yard, but guess I better wait until the house is almost completed (if it ever is...) We did hire the owner of a Ft. Worth garden center to come to the ranch and he is drawing out our landscaping and sprinkler system, he seems to really know his business so I am very anxious to get his drawings back! Again, your garden is breath taking!!! We are going to end up with a much bigger front yard than I really wanted, but we are up on a hill and he told us most folks make the mistake of building big houses on small lots so the yards are way too small for the size of the home and it will dwarf the house. It makes sense when you think about it. Our backyard won't be quite as large, the pool takes up some space and the outdoor kitchen will use some up, too, so guess I can handle that riding lawn mower in the front! We will also have very large sized flower beds, which he said is also very important that they be in conjunction with the size of the home to...guess he know's what he is talking about, he charges enough! lol

I'm curious about what your home looks like. I can't wait for the pics.

I really will try and post some soon. Of course, I am a perfectionist and I want the landscaping in, etc. so it may be ... well, who knows when it may be...lol One thing the landscaper told us is that Fall is a wonderful time of year to landscape, so looking for the bright spots anywhere I can find them.

It is so interesting to see how different houses are, depending on which country you are living in! There would not be many houses like yours jamesglewisf!! It was wonderfull!!!!

You are so right Hanna about the differences in houses.

I love seeing all the different houses, some of my very favorites are the older style homes, built in the 1920 and 30's. I think they are so neat looking.

I'm fond of the Victorian and the old farmhouse styles myself.
