It feels really strange to be talking to complete strangers over the internet but.......I like it!!:) How long has this place been around? One more question, whats the best way to get a good grasp on how to use this and know who is out there?

It is rather strange at first... talking to "strangers" over the internet. I've met some really nice people and have come to consider a few of them good friends. It's more like a community at times, then a "forum". There's lots of nice people here. :)

The best way to get the feel of things is just to look around. Post any questions you have - no problem there at all - we honestly do like helping out.

If you go to the area right above the posts, you'll see the words "smilies" and "vBcode".. that explains how you do a lot of the things, like making the smiley faces or writing tiny.

The way to see who all is on the forum is to go back out to the Main Forum page. The page that lists all of the different areas of the forum. The main page is where "Welcome to the Forums!" "Anything Goes" "Current Events", etc. is listed. Scroll down to the bottom, and you'll see what registered members are online and how many "guests" are visiting the site.

when you go to post a reply on the top where it says forum rules is a link for smilies. If you click on it you will find what to type to include one of these guys {redblob}{grblob}{blueblob}{glblob}{fireblob}

On the screen where you type your post, there is a link in the text that says:

Forum Rules:
Who Can Read The Forum? Any registered user or guest.
Who Can Post New Topics? Any registered user.
Who Can Post Replies? Any registered user.
Changes: Messages can be edited by their author. Messages can be deleted by their author.
Posts: HTML code is OFF. Smilies (http://marriedadults.net/forum/index.php3?action=showsmilies) are ON. vB code (http://marriedadults.net/forum/index.php3?action=bbcode) is ON. [IMG] code is OFF.

The vB code part tells you how to do links and special character formatting, etc. Have fun!

Actually, my wife is on here because she is lonely. She is roldfiel. She is stuck in Russia for a few more weeks and I went looking for her. My user name is really just my initials and my hockey number. Nothing special! I really like this site. I have never been in a chat room type atmosphere before.
