I was at the dentist yesterday for a teeth cleaning, and in the stall next to me, I heard a man saying goodbye to the dental technician and leaving. My tech poked her head around the corner at the other tech and giggled. My thoughts were, "Hunk or creep?"

My tech came back and told me that the guy had made a special request to have the other tech clean his teeth, and that she had never worked with him before. The answer was "creep."

I told her about my "hunk or creep" thought and she laughed. She then went on to tell me about how she has one guy who pretends to read the paper while she cleans his teeth, but in reality he spends the whole time looking at her face. Weirdo.

She had one guy ask her out on a date after one cleaning, and she later found out that his pregnant wife was down the hall in a different stall. Jerk.

I have a hard time imagining that if I were single I would ask my dental tech out for a date after one cleaning. I can't imagine doing it if I were married. It seems almost insane to do it if your prenant wife is down the hall.

What is it about some people? Have you ever had unwanted flirting?

The worst is persistent unwanted flirting. I can handle it when it's at an awkward or inappropriate time once, but when the 'flirter' doesn't stop, it really gets on my nerves.

I have to agree with CuriousG on this one. It can make any situation very uncomfortable.

Geez. I think I would bump the first guy from "Creep" to "Jerk" and the second guy from "Jerk" to perhaps "Idiot."

Geesh.... I always rely on common sense, but, perhaps some don't!

Logic, and common sense are now rare commodities.
