Well, we weathered another storm. This whole state is tore up though. My place made it through ok again, I'm still out of power though. My girlfriend's apartment lost the roof and they have a lot of damage. Many of my coworkers received extensive damage. I have a friend who is staying with me at the house now because of damage she received during Frances, and now there's even more damage. We need a break!! Nothing has ever really been fixed and completed since Charley. I hope next season isn't this bad. {no}

I am glad you came through CG. I feel so bad for your state and the folks there. The pictures on the news are so disheartening and scary. I've been through one tornado and that was enough.

I have been really lucky throughout the whole thing. We have just lost power a bunch of times, but no damage. They are telling us that it could be 2 to 3 weeks before we get power back. Thankfully a coworker with power was nice enough to lend a generator so I can at least run the refrigerator and some other appliances. It's just crazy to think that we still have 2 months of hurricane season left.

I can't imagine going without power for several weeks. That must be awful, but I guess you're right that it is better than going without shelter altogether.
How are things coming in Florida, CG?

Good, but slow. There's just so much to clean up and take care of that it's not going to get done for a long time. Many of my coworkers had extensive damage and are still just waiting on the insurance people to come out and look at their homes and start the paperwork. It's kind fo frustrating for a lot of them, but what can you do?
