For those of you who have kids and can remember, how old were they when they first:
Smiled?
Started Cooing?
Began cooing repetively?
Rolled Over?
Started solids?
Began Crawling?
Began Walking?
I am asking becasue I work with a woman who's grandson is a day younger than my little boy. She has been telling me how her little Daniel says "wa-wa" every evening for about 2 hrs. My Andy has just picked up cooing here and there about a week or two ago, but it is sporadic. He will be 3 months old on the 10th of Nov.
Never thought I'd fall into the competetive mommy trap - but I have actually been a little worried.
Any Advice, mommies and daddies?

Just to prove how different every child is I just dragged out my hubbys, mine and my childrens babybooks.I'll start with his, mine,my daughter and then my son.
smiled:6 weeks,4 weeks,3 weeks, 5 weeks.
Cooing: ?,8 weeks,5 weeks, 7 weeks
Rolled over: 3 1/2 months,4 weeks,6 weeks,7 1/2 weeks
Solids: ?, ?, almost 4 months,about 4 months old
crawling: 7 months,7 months, 7 1/2 months,8 months
walking: 10 months, 14 months, 9 months, 9 1/2 months
I dont remember when my daughter started to babble but my son was 4 1/2 months old. Don't worry!!! All babies are different. I know it's hard to not fall in that baby trap. Some parents, I learned also like to brag a lot! Next time she says how that babies saying wa wa just think to yourself wawa's not even a word!!! Your baby will be talking up a storm before you know it. I sometimes wish mine never learned how to talk!!!:D

Thanks a lot for pulling out the old baby books, Kez! I do keep in mind that my little boy is quite physically advanced. He's been holding his own head up from almost the 1st week we brought him home. He's been 'standing' - supporting his own weight for about a month now. He rolled over a couple times already.
I guess the specifics really don't matter that much - I was just beginning to worry that maybe he had some developmental delays (my biggest fear!). You know the kind where thew baby seems fine when he's born and for the 1st month or so but then show signs of mental delays. If I had a dime for every time I worried about stuff, I could pay everyone's bills!
Thanks again,
MM

That's the funny thing about babies! While one may be cooing early the other is holding his head up and standing! You have nothing to worry about!! Before you know it he'll be walking{eek2}
