I do have to say that my favorite line in the whole article was this:
Obviously the baby was born by Caesarean section," hospital director Rita Leal said. "Both mother and baby are doing just fine."
um...I can't even go there....http://www.addis-welt.de/smilie/smilie/diverse/ignore.gif

{rotflmbo} You're probably right about the teeth, don't know about the pullups though ... they might be already to small. Poor mom, hope she's not breastfeeding ... http://www.addis-welt.de/smilie/smilie/familie/laugh.gif

Hadn't even thought of that one - it's rough enough on mom's whose babies are 10 pounds and under. This kid came out and probably asked her to stop at McDonalds on the way home. Or Burger King for one of those "big kid meals"....

After you hear about the whole story behind that big baby you go,"what was the mother thinkin?"
Seems she was a diabetic and didn't keep her blood sugar under control. That might have been a tad bit difficult depending on her circumstances. With our last child, my doctor discovered that my blood sugar was trying to sky rocket. He really kept an eye on me and my weight and diet. He said it can affect the baby as well as my health at delivery. Glad we live where we do and we do have the medical care we do.

interesting. Does it effect the weight of the baby? Too many calories, etc. are the reasons for the obesity levels in this country skyrocketing...maybe sugar levels could impact the weight of the baby. All her other children were like 7 lbs. I hope she's done with this one...her next pregnancy may produce a toddler!

On the news they said that was why the baby boy weighed 16 lbs. I can't imagine a baby that big and a newborn.
