Hey Ladies!
How many of you don't like shopping?
That's what I thought...everyone loves to shop..but none more than I.
I go shopping every chance I get....it relaxes me...it comforts me...it makes me happy {toothy}
My favorite place to shop is Kmart...believe it or not! I love Kmart, they have everything.
I like to go to Malls too. My fav. toy store is Toys R Us...it is huge! I do like KayBee but that is such a small store. I went there today because they had a sale...Does anyone know what Blue's Clues is?
Well it is a show for small children, and 'Blue' is a little floppy eared puppy on the show. KayBee had the 'Blue' stuffed doll on sale for 9.99. It is called Bedtime Blue....and comes with a flashlight, story book and sleeping bag/backpack. I got it for my little girl for Christmas. I also went to Sam Goody with the gift certificates I got from my Pepsi Points, and I bought two CDs....one is a group called N'sync...(don't ask...I don't know them either) and one Christina Aguilera..both are for my two older daughters.
They will be pleased, I'm sure.
My favorite things to buy for myself are pajamas and underwear. I buy all different prints and colors.

So Ladies, where do you shop?
and what are your favorite things to buy, and for who??

I love going to Yankee CAndle and The Christmas Tree Shop. I love candles and Yankee Candle is heaven to me!!! I love the Christmas Tree Shop because everything is so inexpensive!! I love dollar stores, buying all sorts of neat junk that I could have otherwise done without but "Look Hon, It's only a dollar!!" Famous words when we walk into one!! I'm so bad! {anon}

Well unlike most all women, I actually hate to shop. I think it comes from childhood :(

My husband amazes women at his job when he tells them you can't get my wife to a mall. For me if you want to torture me that would be the perfect thing to do to me, stick me in a mall.

I don't mind going to Wal-Mart, but again it is to get what I need and get out.

Now I can stay in our Hallmark store for hours smelling the Yankee Candles and deciding which one I can't live without.
But other than that, sorry I am the one that proves the theory wrong.

I so love to shop! I like buying for myself and for others.

The one thing I did get sick of doing is going to {pukeface} computer stores. MY hubby LOVES them and used to go all the time. I'd wait out in the car and pout. It takes every ounce of self discipline I have ever owned to actually walk through the whole store without sighing heavily, rolling my eyes {rolleyes}, or saying "are you done yet?"

But malls, on the other hand - and flea markets - and antique stores - and ...

Must admit I too love to shop! {blush} I love the dollar stores, zellers, walmart. Anywhere I can get a good deal! My husband tries his hardest to get me in and out of a store as fast as he can...but I always seem to stray!! If we are going to town together I try and make a list, so it will be as painless as possible for him! And when I want to stroll through stores and window shop, I make sure I go when he has other plans! Recently a Michaels Craft store opened up in our area...Wow! I am in love! I can spend hours looking through there! In fact I wonder how late they are open tonight?!!! I am getting a craving for more craft supplies!

We just got a Michaels also. I hope I can find all the supplies for the Christmas presents you posted there. If not can you let me know where to go shopping?

You can get the epsom salts, mineral oil and food coloring from the grocery store. You can find the scented oils at Michaels, body shop, or I imagine, and drug store.

I would get the bottles from the dollar store! There are alot of neat frosted glass ones with the cork in the top. You can seal the cork with basic wax to keep it from moisture!!

Thank you so much Coolchic, you are so creative and inventive. I shared these ideas with my husband last night and this weekend when we are up in the woods with our trailer we will be looking for pine cones. He loved the ideas.

Thank you again,

I went shopping again today...found some really neat little canning jars with the wire snap closure. I have filled them with the bath salts, and printed some really neat labels to put on them. My husband came home and was surprised! He suggested I keep making them throughout the year and then go to some of these craft markets!! I found really neat tall frosty colored bottles with corks for the bath oil. I just finished filling those and sealing the corks with some wax. How many more days till Christams?!!! I am usually still fighting my way through crowds on Christams eve to finish my shopping...I feel so happy right now! Yippee!!

(It hasn't been until this year that I caught the craffty bug!!)

you could probably make your own gifts to give away for Christmas!
That would be fun and save you lots of money.
Have you ever considered that?
I would do it if I could make stuff like you do...I'd probably never spend money on gifts again.

*raises hand with head hung down*

*ahem* I must confess... I detest shopping. The crowded stores... the trying on different stuff til you find something that fits right, the crowds, arrgh. I'm a hermit at heart!

Well, before you throw stuff at me, maybe it's cause I was a tomboy most of my childhood? I'd rather have played baseball with my brothers then play with dolls. Climb trees or muck around in the pond chasing tadpoles then playing dress up. *sigh* Am I still in the girls club?

are you kidding me Blinc??
of course you are still in.......and guess what?

I would still rather climb trees than play with dolls...or play ball rather than get dressed up!!
I hate girlie stuff!
I will stick with my sweats and sneakers...that's all I ever wear!
That's what I shop for....sweats, sneakers, underwear and pjs.

I love climbing trees!! I hate dressing up, I feel so constricted, I love my jeans! This past September, my inlaws were picking grapes and while my sister and mother in law had my father in law up in a tree, I was in my own tree picking some!! I hadn't climbed a tree in years, I had forgotten how much fun it was! But I still love shoppping, I just hate the loss of money that goes along with it!!! I hate grocery shopping though, I used to love it but after spending 40+ hours working in a grocery store I don't want to spend another second while I'm not at work there!

I love shopping!!! I could spend hours in a mall!!! And even though I love the "girlie" stuff, I am still most at home in my sweats and sneakers too!!! :)
