ALL CAPS is the equivalent of shouting what you want to say. Shouting with ALL CAPS is considered rude. If you want to use emphasis, use bold instead. The way you bold text is to use vB Code (http://marriedadults.net/forum/index.php3?action=bbcode). Every page has a link to this. Just click on the link that says "vB code." There is always a link next to it that tells you how to do smilies.

This going to sound really bad to everyone but I had no idea what LoL meant till about 5 months ago:). I always just thought it meant something like "a/s/l"
And if any of you use any type of instant messenger you know that people always go to you going "a/s/l". I never runderstood what that meant.

Most user names and all email names cannot have spaces, so people use the underscore or hyphen.

Question for ya: Why does "L M A O" get bleeped out? Is that a bad thing to type?IMO, not really. But, jamesglewisf says that there is absolutely no cussing, so he doesn't allow abbreviations or acronyms for swear words. You can see it in the rules on the FAQ under number 3 (http://frappydoo.com/forum/faq.php?faq=frappydoo_faq#faq_fd_rules).

That seems a little over the top; but he said in a thread somewhere that he doesn't like having to figure out where to draw the line, so he draws it at absolutely no cussing or coarse language at all. I guess that makes it easier to moderate.

I remember that it used to really annoy a lot of new members just before FD was shut down in 2001, but there hasn't been much talk about it since he re-opened for business.

You gotta use LMBO instead. :)

Generally, I see it used when people misquote. If anyone frequents the Allakhazam forums, many of the players use it a lot.
