When I "supertargetted" the terms ‘Chicago’ and ‘movies’ at [accoona dot com], the results included several museums located nowhere near Chicago. Web experts tout “SuperTargetting" (a much-talked-about special feature of this new search engine) as having the potential to be useful for the advanced searcher. But the question is: Will a typical searcher take the time to do this?

No idea. I would think if you can get better search results through a simple click, then you might.

Webcrawler use to be the standard search engine. Now we use Google for maps to homework help. We have no complaints. I think they add all the other for added appeal. Most of a search is just knowing how to do a search to eliminate unwanted returns.

Maybe I'm stupid, but what does 'super-targeting' mean ?! Don't think I've heard of that one before ... {fonzy}

Look at the website in question and do a business search. The results screen lets you select words to emphasize in a refined search.

There Noseypoo, Alec just told you about supertargetting. Its crazy. If my search string has 5 words, for ex., it will ask me to choose which words are most important in my search. When i tick the boxes next to those words which are most relevant, i get very specific matches which would have otherwise taken me hours to find.............................it's good. I welcome accoona.com as an intelligent search destination!

Hey, it seems accoona is not stopping at supertargetting. Its come up with this supposedly brilliant idea by which it pops up a box containing the profile of the company searched for...........this happened when i was looking for 'Sony Corporation' and hit the business button........the results came up with an 'infinity' logo next to each of them. When i clicked the logo against one of the results......puppp! emerged this profile of Sony! Not bad i thot to myself....

Ok, I went ... I searched ... I didn't see anything special about it.

Maybe I'm missing something, or I'm doing it wrong ... {fonzy}
