Can't Travel Without Them

We had the perfect packing list in a thread already. As I was packing for quick trip this weekend I got to thinking about the things my husband and I just can't travel without. I am not talking about the necessary things like money, driver's license, etc... but those little quirky things we all pack and don't give much thought too because it is just who we are. What do you pack that I probably wouldn't even think about including in a road trip?

Our 5 strangest things are:
binoculars - we look for antelope and deer
non sugar sweetner
toothpicks
a roll of toilet paper
Our own coffee cups

Our trips would not be the same without them. What are your 5 quirky items?

For our trips to America, that would be:



Hannas blanket. If we forgott, we might just turn around right away.....
Brown cheese
Cheese slicer
shrimpcheese on a tube (Our relatives LOVES them, so we allways bring some)
Chocolate spread for the kids sandwiches.

Not very quirky, but still 5 MUSTS........

Babywipes ... ALWAYS bring babywipes! {toothy}

Ohhhhhh Nosey I forgot those. Yep they are tucked away in the car too and in my purse. I just hate washing my hands in the ladies room. Watch the women around you. They wash their hands first and then touch the paper towel dispenser where someone else has left wet prints to collect germs or the water faucet handle is always wet. Ugh!!

If I have to wash my hands, out of wet ones, I always get my paper towels first. One for the water faucet and then some for my hands to dry them. You can't tell me that germs and bacteria don't run amok in the ladies room. {woohoo}

Wet One Wipes (love those things)
Too many shoes...
Motrin
Vitamins
My pillow (can't leave home without it)

Believe me, whether I am leaving for one night or 10 I take WAY too much stuff and I hate unpacking when I get home!!!

DVDs
Cables to hook up laptop to TV to play DVDs
Puffs Plus Tissues (bad allergies)
Bose noise-cancelling headphones

*HAND SANITIZER (You never know where you're going to find yourself)
*TOILET SEAT COVERS (ditto)
*ANTIBIOTICS (Nothing worse than catching something and being away from your doctor)
*HEALTHY PACKED LUNCHES (In no way am I a health nut, but road trip fast food=gut rot)
*LAVENDER FACE SPRAY (soothing after a long day of traveling--also makes the car smell fresh)
And there it is. I may sound like Howard Hughes, but at least I can go on vacation without coming home with maylaria or ameobic dysentary.
