Plus you can find smoked brats at Hickory Farms and Johnsonville sells smoked brats in our grocery store. Why can't you smoke a bratwurst. I know if you boil them the casing will explode. You either grill or smoke the brat and then you can put them in a beer bath to keep them warm.
