I, personally, like church weddings. My hubby and I do not belong to a specific church, nor did we have a minister, priest ect. So when we were making our wedding plans we went to the historical center, and asked if we could use the old old church at the heritage center for our ceremony. We ended up getting a very nice lady (a jp) to marry us. The church sat about 60 people. It was really nice. We had our wedding pictures taken in a nice park about 10 minutes away from the church - an old old homestead. We had the reception in my parents backyard. (They live on a few acres) My dad make a pond, and a little bridge with a seat for us to sit on - for more pictures! My mom went crazy with her flower garden and we had flower pots all over!

We got married in my favourite month - August.

And I wore white. If anything ever happened to my husband or I and god for bid I get remarried I would wear colors. Just because that's how I feel!!

I have been to so many weddings I can't remember them all! But mostly because I sing at weddings, so alot of times I don't even know the couple getting married. I think weddings are so beautiful.

I enjoyed our wedding (November 19). She wore white, and we were in a church.

BUT, it sure seems like people spend more time preparing for the wedding than they do for the actual marriage. My wife and I took a class, some counseling, and I read about 15 books on marriage. What did you do to prepare? Anything?

This is all pretty funny. My wife found her own gift while we were in Seattle. It was a piece of art glass that she really liked. She bought it for herself and shipped it back. I didn't even see it until it arrived.

I bought my own anniversary present also. It was a bunch of DVDs.

On Saturday evening Amy asked me if I had bought her any cards yet. I told her I hadn't had a chance yet because I worked all day Friday (usually off at 12:30PM) and all day Saturday. She laughed and said she hadn't bought mine either.

Well, it looked like I was going to have to work all day Sunday, so we agreed to have dinner either Sunday or Monday night.

It turned out that I finished by noon. I went home, and we spent the afternoon together. We were not able to get a sitter, so I took Amy and Mary Margaret to dinner at a place called Texas Land and Cattle. It is one of Amy's favorite steak joints.

It wasn't exactly exciting, but it was enjoyable.

We got married in October in a church. I would have loved to have been married on a beach, in the summer, July, or August, just at sunset, or even under the stars. But we were young and in love!
