Well I spotted the book in Wal Mart. The complete 7 books under one cover. So I bought it. I am almost through. It has been really entertaining you all.
C.S. Lewis was quite the author. You can see parallels between his books and the Bible stories most of us grew up with. Haven't seen the movie yet but plan on it. I wanted the whole picture first.
Any one else read this series of books?{confused}

I've read a few of them, but not for many years (since I was a child).

In the beginning of book two C.S. Lewis writes a personal message to his neice. I am assuming this who he wrote these fairy tales for. I love what he wrote and it is so true:
My dear Lucy,
I wrote this story for you, but when I began it I had not realized that girls grow quicker than books. As a result you are already too old for fairy tales, and by the time it is printed and bound you will be older still. But some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again.
That is not all of the quote but that is the part that I loved. So true. I haven't read a fairy tale in years. I haven't wanted too. But now I don't find them childish anymore and I quite frankly enjoy them. I also love picking up children's books and reading them. Funny how we change as we age.
