I am really bad at handing over tips in salons/spas.
Is it better to hand the bills directly to each person providing a service or should I have it included in the the total bill when I pay?

Another dumb question- If their prices say gratuity included then I should assume no further tipping is expected?

Thanks!

I'm a bartender, and my best friend works at a high-end spa. So tipping is something I know about....it's fine to tip on the total bill at a salon/spa, just make sure the receptionist will distribute it the way you want. Or you can go straight to the person. Most salons I have been to carry little envelopes to fill with cash for the person you want it to go to at the front desk. Also, if gratuity is included, you do not have to tip extra, unless you want to.
