This thread is just for random sports topics.

Did you hear about or see the IndyCar driver Paul Dana who died during a practice run yesterday? He was a rookie. It sounds like he might have ignored a yellow flag because he was still driving fast.

That was really sad about Paul Dana. He had just signed on to the Letterman racing team.

Softball season is in full swing. My college freshman is on two teams. A co-ed and a womans. She has never played before in her life. But now she calls in all out of breath and excited and anxious for the next game. I know she plays catcher on the women's team. Going to have make the 4 hour drive some day to make a game.

Duke cancelled the lacrosse team's season. Will anybody notice?

They should have done it, but who really cares about lacrosse?

A cop on the scene says the stripper was passed out drunk when he arrived.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12289760/
The conversation between the officer and a police dispatcher took place about 1:30 a.m. March 14, about five minutes after a grocery store security guard called 911 to report a woman in the parking lot who would not get out of someone else’s car.

The officer gave the dispatcher the police code for an intoxicated person. When asked whether the woman needed medical help, the officer said: “She’s breathing and appears to be fine. She’s not in distress. She’s just passed out drunk.”
DNA tests did not link any of the players to the alleged attack. Her story is getting a lot of holes poked in it.

Well on a happy note, my college freshman's softball team is going to state. She is the catcher. Go ROUGHRIDERS.
