This thread was actually Debby's idea.....my efforts to try and reach her, to ask her if she wishes to start this thread, didn't go so well.

Debby suggested that we run a thread about our holiday meals....See what each other is cooking or just eating.

I'll start!

Turkey
Maple & Brown Sugar, Spiral Sliced Ham
Dressing (stuffing)
Cranberry sauce
Homemade Mac n cheese
Mashed potatoes
Fresh Corn
Fresh Green Beans
Fresh Broccoli
Lots of gravy!
dozens of crescent rolls
sweet potatoes with those little apple pieces
pumpkin pie with cool whip
coconut custard pie with cool whip
apple pie with cool whip

I can feel myself getting fat!!!!!

what are you having for Thanksgiving dinner?

Yeah, that sweet pototato whipped/baked/thingy with marshmellows is what I'm talking about. My mom puts orange juice in it for some reason. Still, it tastes great.

Some lady brought me some smoked turkey, ham and another fine meat that I honestly have no idea what it was...but it was the best tasting!
Potatoes, corn, green bean salad, stuffing, rice crispy treats, olives, pumpkin pie, and some other veggies.
I was very thankful for the meal, I was expecting peanut butter and jelly! She showed up and handed it to me, it's a lady I work with. Made me glad to be human again. :)

Wow....as usual, I am getting in on this thread very late....and yes,Karen, I'm glad you made this thread! I need to check new threads more often...I get so used to just checking my e-mail for replies to posts and not checking new ones...anyway.....

since I missed out on the Thanksgiving one, I can tell you what I am planning on having for my christmas meal....I will have possibly 15 adults and 4 kids here for the meal....wheeeew. *wipes brow* This is my menu so far.

Spiral cut bone-in ham (without glaze, I hate the glaze)
Mashed potatoes and gravey
corn(frozen from our garden last summer)
scalloped corn with oysters
green bean casserole
stuffing
fresh lettuce salad with green goddess dressing
rolls
relish tray
cheese ball
apple salad
cottage cheese

dessert:

My mother-in-law is bring two pies,

and I am making my famous cheesecake....new york style with wild black raspberry sauce that I canned this summer after going wild berry picking.

I might have forgotten something... my sister-in-law is bringing the apple salad, and my other sister-in-law is bringing the relish tray....other than that....it's all up to me....but I love it!
