Help!!!!! I am teaching my daughter how to drive. We are on the last step where she has had a permit for 6 months and will be going for the license in a couple of weeks.

I am having a huge problem..........I am suppose to have a log for this part of the instuctions( Behind-the-wheel & In-Car practice) I have no earthly idea how to do this. I have searched the internet for some kind of examples but there isn't any.

Can anyone give me some advice or show me an example of one to use for this? She is so very excited about this and I don't want to fail her by not having this part. Our DPS office does ask for these stupid logs and I know I need to have it.

PLEASE, PLEASE.....HELP ME!!!!!!!

Ask the DPS office what they should look like.

I'm guessing it isn't that critical what form they are in, but just that the time is recorded. I would make a list with Date, Time, Name of Parent Supervising, What you practiced, and where you did it.

If it is like the form we got it pretty much explains it with the directions. I will agree that they don't do a good job of explaining it. If your DPS office is like ours we were told, "I'm not suppose to help you with this ..... but"

The lady went ahead and gave us advice on to ???? I can't remember what form but it wasn't the driving logs.

Here is what was said about this topic from the archive, I hope it helps:
How are the Classroom and Behind-the-Wheel Instruction Log Records utilized?
Classroom and Behind-the-Wheel Instruction Log Records are for the instructor's use only. You will enter the date of completion after the required hours for each specified unit title and driving time. These record logs are for instructor use. You may be required to present this form as proof you have completed all objectives outlined in the Parent Taught Education Program.

This came right off the website tj. http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/administration/driver_licensing_control/pages/parenttaught.htm

The logs were fairly simple to follow. You log the amount of time you spent on each classroom topic in the appropriate blank along with the date completed. Do the same for driving instructions. You also have to remember to do the amount of required time for each topic and not to do less than they require. Total the time at the bottom of the form.
