I will not be online much until Sunday. We will be moving our oldest daughter out starting tomorrow. Since tonight is her last night here we want to spend time with her. This has been a really hard time for me. I have written down my thoughts and would appreciate you taking a look. Thanks CJ

CJ, the site you listed seems to be under construction. I tried to read it. Know that I am thinking of you and wishing you the best.

Oh my CJ, you must be going crazy!
I would just die if my children were moving out of the house.
you'll be just fine, for sure. Besides, your daughter will be back.....she'll need to see her mom sooner than you think! Girls are like that. Boys on the other hand, will come back when they're hungry, need laundry or need their apt cleaned.

CJ, I can't even imagine what it will feel like when my children leave our home. I hope you two have a great time this weekend, despite her moving.

Yep, I haven't been to sleep yet. We brought our youngest to a concert in Houston last night. We got home around 1 and I just saw my husband off to work, next will be getting her out of bed :)

It has been an emotional weekend. But, a wonderful blessing to watch. After we got everything moved I sat and watched as she started arranging all her things and putting up pictures. She was nesting and it was beautiful to watch. She was making her new home, home. She started putting things and arranging things that I noticed looked very familiar. Little things that I didn't even notice that I have done over the years I caught glimpses of her doing. I'm telling you it's those little things that they hold true to their hearts.

We make such a big deal over big things, but it was the little things that make them call home, home. Like I never even noticed that on Sundays we watch Dallas or whoever is playing football, I actually am usually doing laundry so I always order pizza. Never even noticed that we had made a habit of it. The girls now consider it a Sunday tradition. I failed to order it one Sunday and you would have thought the earth stood still and we were all going to fall off.

Anyway, it warmed my heart to sit back and watch, actually the fruit of her father and my labor in the things that we thought important to instill in her life. And it seems so far most of it stuck.

Thanks for asking, I have to go through this again in August with my youngest who will be going off to college in a different state. Now my oldest says when she moves to Austin in May she wants to bring the cat. I told my husband last night I don't think I can handle losing everybody at once. Please at least leave me the cat!!!

sounds like it must have been wonderful...It is funny how they grow up just like us, isn't it?
