If you have any requests for certain recipes, just ask and I'll get them posted....if I don't have what you're looking for, rest assured, I'll find it for ya.
any suggestions, I'll take them.
Holidays are approaching fast, and good meals mean so much this time of year. Sometimes, the meal alone can make the holiday special.

oh boy.....I feel like a little kid on Christmas morning.
I have some really cool ideas for 'What's Cooking', and I want to get the ball rolling.
I will be having a daily thread, just like the one I do over in LOL...it will be called 'The Daily Fare'...that will be the recipe of the day.
I am going to start different threads for different types of foods.
For instance, I am making a thread called 'just desserts'....that will be an ongoing thread with recipes for desserts ONLY.
'Pas-ta Salt'....for ALL pasta dishes...also an ongoing thread.
'That's Fowl'....chicken and turkey meals.
etc...
I think you all get the idea, eh?
I am also adding a thread for Kitchen Tips...we all need those sometimes...feel free to add your own.
I want you all to add as many recipes as you wish...I would appreciate any contributions!

I am going to try to keep this thread on top for a little while, so everyone can read it and see how I am running 'What's Cooking'...ok?....so don't think I am nuts if I keep grabbing this thread and dragging it back up to the top of the others...at least for a week.

If anyone has any questions about this, or has any ideas other than what I have here....please post them here.

Oooh, ooh ooh! I love the idea of having the recipes seperated into their own categories!! I've tried to get recipe's from different forums and sometimes they were just posted anywhere. It made it really hard to find a recipe sometimes. At least this way, if we see a recipe we want to try we'll know exactly which area to come back to, when we're ready to try it. Great idea!!
How about a Candies/cookies thread? Or do you want that in the desserts? I'd love to get some candy recipes. I make up boxes of homemade candies and cookies around Christmastime, and am always looking for good cookie and candy recipes.

that's a great idea Blinc!
we will keep the 'Just Desserts' thread, strictly for cakes and such.
Why don't you do the honor of starting the cookies and candy thread?
let's try to think of a really catchy name for it though.

OOOOOHHHHHHHHH!!! I am so excited about this place! I have a request. I looooove to bake, but living in Colorado, I have had problems with the altitude. Any general tips on how to bake in high altitudes would be appreciated along with any special recipes for us in the mile high city!

Sorry Karen, I couldn't come up with any real good names for the "Cookies and Candies" area. The only thing I've come up with is "The Sweet Tooth" and even worse "Sweets for the Sweetie"... Think you might be ahead to name it yourself because it looks like you've come up with some great names for the other areas!!

'Sweets & Treats'...ummmm....'Dandy Candy'......erm....well, I don't know.....there are a lot of them we could use.

Oh surrreee, just tell me my ideas stink! That's the way to encourage a per... hey, just had an idea. *grin* How about The Confectionary (sp) Corner? Or Confections & Cookies? Sweet Concoctions? (sp) Sorry, my spelling is off this morning I think and I can't find my dicshunairy. {toothy}
I like the Sweets & Treats the best of yours. We've got to name this place so Debby can post her recipes, yum! I love to make homemade candy. It's usually pretty easy to make and tastes sooo much better then store bought.
