There are little things in life that never fail to make me smile. For me, it's our dogs acting goofy, or just plain wanting to be petted. Two of our dogs are really big and when they want attention, it can get rather awkward. I've been tipped over backwards in a recliner with one of them deciding he wanted to play "lap dog".
I love to go fishing with my husband, we go to the Chesapeake Bay. Just sitting on the water, rocking with the waves, warm sunlight... peace.
Watching our neighbors horses run around in their corral, full of energy... tails streaming in the wind. It's as if they are embracing the day and running as fast as they can to meet it. That always makes me smile too.
What are some of the things that warms your heart or makes you smile?

For me, it is trying to figure out all of the new words my 2.5 year-old daughter comes up with. Or how we'll put her to bed, and she is in there alone with her stuffed animals just cracking herself up.

I love to play with my dog Beau! He is an absolute treasure and a gift from God. He is also a hoot when a dog shows up on TV... he barks like crazy!
Like I said a true gift!!!

Your little girl cracking herself up! What a great mental image that gives. I bet you and your wife get such a good feeling and laugh a lot when she does that. :) Awwww... that is just so sweet!
Heartcall! Ouch! I do know what you mean about the noises coming over the t.v., getting the dogs going. One of ours, Butter, Oh my goodness, whenever she hears an advertisement for one of John Denvers albums, she starts a ruckus... it's something about the pitch of his voice I guess. Especially when he sings, "Rocky Mountain High". She just goes berserk and starts off the most awful, weird sounding howl! I love it though! They are a gift I think too, there's nothing like the unquestioning love they offer day after day. :) *sigh* I love my dogs so much.

We learned a lesson today about leaving our 2.5 year-old daughter alone with crayons. No, she didn't color the walls. She colored the very expensive portrait of herself on our wall above the sofa. Yikes!
