Everyone knows that woman get nuts when it comes to shoes!
Even me, who wears sneakers 24/7, has a zillion pairs of different shoes....

I've got five pairs of sneakers....two pairs of slippers....three pairs of construction boots....eight different styles of leather boots (high cut, low cut, heels, flats, zippers, buttons, slip ons...etc...)
six pairs of sandals....all different....23 different pairs of leather dress shoes....and two pairs of those flipflop thingys.
I have certain pairs that I wear for certain occassions...but rarely ever wear any of them!

So, how many pairs of shoes are you ladies hoarding in those closets?

Believe it or not, I'm not a shoe nut. I don't like to shop... hey, I am too a woman! {toothy} Maybe it's from growing up with only brothers? I do have a bunch of nice high heels, most left over from working in an office setting. Usually I wear a pair of suede ankle/hiking type boot shoes (?) for winter... Real comfy. In the summer it's tennis shoes and sandles all the time.

GUILTY as charged!! {anon}

I really don't know how many I have...thats a real challenge. Hmmmmm ......{idea}
A Safe bet would be to say I have A LOT!!!! I LOVE{lovesick} SHOES!!! My husband will LITERALLY put his hand over my eyes when passing the shoe section in the stores. Its pretty bad. I have very few clothes, but A LOT of shoes. My logic....{einstein}
No matter how bloated or fat{pig} I feel, my shoes ALWAYS look cute!!

I am becoming a shoe nut. This past month, in only 13 days I already bought 2 new pairs! I don't know how many I have, but I have quite a few.

I'm with blinc. I have one pair of Cowboy boots and 2 pair of heels for church. That and old rubber barn boots. I also have only two pair of jeans. :) Guess you could say I'm low maintenance.

Are boys allowed here? I am not going to peek through if this MB is like a ladies' fitting room in a department store. I just want to tell you about my wife. I thought that she was unique: she can probably wear a new pair of shoes every day for the better part of the year (I can guarantee the first six months!). Nor that she does that. She mostly wears “whatever is comfortable”. But when I ask her why the heck she needs all these shoes, she says: “Because I’d like to know that I have something to wear”. I was always surprised. Now I am not. She is not unique. Strangely, she does not own a single pair of sneakers – she does not like them (or jeans). But it looks that it really does not matter, sneaker or pumps: the more the merrier.

Aww, geesh since you're new we won't throw slippers at ya. But this part of the forum is for the women only. We had to chase Roadrunner out earlier, so don't feel bad. {toothy} There is an area set aside just for the guys right below this area of the forum. Have fun! :)

All right, I am leaving. But there was no warning sign “Girls only”, unlike a clear warning for the boys. And, what to do if I want to share something or would like just to improve myself by immersing briefly in a fragrant air? :)

Speaking of shoes, I need a new pair. I haven't gotten any in almost a month. My shoe rack has been calling out to me. Must buy shoes!!!... And a new purse.

I'm not a big shoe person, but the more I think I about it--the more shoes I'm coming up with! {blush}

I'm a sneakers person. That's what you'd catch me in most days with jeans or sweats. However I do have flats and pumps for church. I probably have about 4 pairs--different colors to match different skirts or dresses--of "winter" ones and about two pairs of "summer" ones. I have a few pairs of sandles for the summer. I have some snow boots you know the Thinsulate things. I have a couple of pairs of cowboy boots too. Oh the two steppin' days! {mm}

I didn't realize that I had that many pairs. Some I've had for years though! I don't regularly shope for shoes. A new pair or two of tennis shoes a year make me happy! {benetton}

I'm going to sneak in another post instead of editing! hehe

While I was changing a dirty diaper a moment ago, I remembered my brown lace up shoes. That's what I wore to work when I taught. I still wear them with tan slacks when I sub. :)

BTW, I have a Garth Brooks "Thunder Rolls" cowboy hat that went with the boots when we went dancing!

Hold the phone girl! You remembered some brown laces when you were changing a dirty diaper? ]:{ And boots and a hat that are named for a song? {anon} I'm not so sure 'bout ya! :)

LOL! Oh well... my mind drifts... one topic to the next... some people might call that "multi-tasking"! {toothy}

Guess what! I bought another pair of shoes today! Brown "dress up" boots. I went and spent some of the money on my gift card at the store I don't usually shop at. :) Bought some stuff on clearance. Then I went to Wal-Mart and bought shoes! and diapers btw

I have not gotten a new pair of shoes in months and the pair I did get was for a wedding and they are all open with straps so I can't wear them in the colder months. And everytime I go to the shoe stores I can not find a single pair that I actually like! I guess I shouldn't complain, it is saving me lots of money!

Ok, let's see ... right now I only own 2 pairs of sneakers, 1 pair of construction boots and 1 pair of HUGE kitty slippers.
Gotta get me some kind of summer-shoes soon, which I probably never wear anyways ... since I'm an avid bare-footer {laughc}

I have two pairs of boots. One pair of mules, two pairs of flip-flops, two pairs of houseshoes. I had to ditch all my heels when my feet starting acting up. I loved my heels. I have a pair of special shoes for arthritis ordered. Not in yet. And one pair of slip on shoes from Dr. Scholls in black.

I'm a shoe addict, but not as bad since I quit working. I have 2 pair ostrich boots, 1 pair work boots, and 1 pair of boots, I call my tweeners, they arent' ostrich, but too nice for work boots, tons of heels, and I love flip flops, don't know how many pair of flip flops I must own. I have been known to go on a shopping spree and buy 10 pair of shoes at one time.......thought Ray was gonna croak, I told him, better it be 10 pair of shoes than 10 bottles of whiskey!!! He probably would have opted for the whiskey at that point so he could drink and forget about all the shoes I had bought...lol

Hi Raybeck! You are up late aren't you? Hi everyone!!

I love shoes. I wish I could afford to adopt more lonely 7.5M pairs that I find at Nordstrom. Sadly though, my shoes seem to last forever. And I cannot justify spending on them as often as I would like {good}. I have 42 pairs if my 10 year old counted correctly. It's nice to have someone else help me on Frappydoo.

Hi, Misse, good to see you are online. I'm fixing to head to bed, DH is watching the Mav's get beaten, so I am on here...maybe they will pull it off.

Ostrich Boots? Care to explain? {toothy}

Noseypoo, it is the tanned skin of an ostrich, versus that of a cow. Really very pretty. One of my son in laws is in the exotic leather business and it has been quite interesting for all of us. Of course, ostrich is not all that exotic, but one pair of my boots (cowboy boots) he had made for me, they are ostrich and have my initials on the top part as well as our brand (running R) and the shape of a longhorn's head inlayed on them, too, and they have Raybeck (our ranch is named Raybeck Ranch) on them. I know sounds really gross and I don't wear them too often, but they are quite beautiful. Wear them to longhorn auctions, etc. I should take a pic of them so you could see what I am talking about, they were handmade to fit my foot perfectly. My other pair of ostrich boots are Lou Casey black ostrich and are very dressy looking. My SIL travels fairly often to Africa, they deal in hides with the Africans quite a lot...like I said, it's very interesting, my DD got to go with him to Africa about a year ago and she loved the trip and the people, she said they are so nice. I was a nervous wreck until she got back to the states!!! lol Ray has ostrich, alligator, eel, you can pretty much name it and he has a pair of cowboy boots out of it!!! But, most of the time around the ranch he just wears his work boots.

I am not a shoe person, and I will wear them til there is nothing left. So I have 1 pair of sneakers, 1 pair of ordinairy shoes, 1 pair of sandals, 1 pair of winterboots, and 1 pair of rainboots. And a pair of nice shoes. That's it.

I never even knew Ostrich skin was used to make leather and shoes and what not.
