As most of you are aware, FrappyDoo! is a relatively new forum. We've only been online for a few months, so all of us are learning as we go. One of the things that we haven't posted yet are the rules for the forum. We'll be providing a link to the rules, *points* up there, underneath the main header where it currently has listed: Main Forum | Profile | Register | Members | FAQ | Search

Until we get a finalized version, we thought we'd go ahead and give the basic guidelines for now, to avoid any doubts or confusion about what's ok or not. If new rules need to be implemented, as occasions arise, we may add new one's to the list below.

If you feel that there is something that isn't covered, please post your concerns here! Being new to the forum world, there may be things we've missed. We truly do appreciate your input, so please feel free to address any concern you may have. We most definitely want FrappyDoo to be a fun place for you. We also want to it keep clean so you and others are never uncomfortable with the posts here. :)

Here are the rules in place for the Forum:

1) No swearing please. Not even the mildest swear words are allowed. The main reason for this is that we want FrappyDoo to be a family-friendly sight. We want everyone to feel comfortable here, which means that even your grandmother or pastor should feel comfortable reading any post on this forum.

The second reason is that with absolutely no swearing allowed, it avoids any possible confusion as to which words are allowed and which aren't. Our guidelines are not based on what is heard on American television, they are based on what we consider a family-oriented atmosphere.

2) No coarse lanugage. There are words we all know, that technically might not be considered swearing. Most often they refer to body parts, acts, genders, etc. Please don't use them. They might not be swear words, but they are offensive to many. If you're in doubt, find a better way to phrase your thoughts. Be creative!

3) FrappyDoo! has an automated censor feature in place. Many of the swear or coarse words will automatically be edited out and replaced with ***'s. If you see that one of your posts have been censored, please do go back in to edit your post and replace the censored word with an acceptable one.

Please don't use abbreviations or acronyms for swear words, or purposely mispell a swear word, to try and fool the censor feature. Using an abbreviation for a swear word(s) is just as unacceptable as if you had posted the entire word(s).

4) Be nice to each other. Remember that someone having a different viewpoint from your own is not a hanging offense here at FrappyDoo! Please treat others with the same respect that you would wish to be accorded.

Sorry Jim.. just checked out the rules again and I think I broke the last one (or came pretty darn close)..

I will try to be more careful about it..

IF you see me doing it again.. edit it out.. I was treated very badly at another one and sometimes the anger still shows!!

That's OK. Most people will probably be surprised by that rule.

I put in that rule because I think it shows more dignity to turn the other cheek than to slap them back.

Someday another person will leave here mad. I'm hoping he will remember our rule and treat us in kind--complain about us here instead of on other forums.

oh believe me.. if that other forum would let me post I would say a LOT!! But they do not allow anyone to disagree with the mods there.. or with the forum!!

#$@%!...hey, what's going on? I was trying to swear but all I get is #$#@@&*! aaaawww man. You know that therapy just didn't help much. Just kidding. I was just coming back for a few minutes - see what's going on and I thought I probably should read some of the rules. I think that's an excellent idea. hope I don't have a slip of the tounge.

Hello again everyone.
