I think you have the right to protest whenever you want. I just don't think it is appropriate.

Sen. McCain (sp?) said that you can't support the troops and not support their mission. As a former POW, I think he has the authority to make that statement. Support our troops, stop the protests.

I think that not being in support of the war is one thing, but protesting with all this anti-war stuff is, in a sense, protesting the millitary. All the Vietnam protests didn't do a thing for the war but it got all the people riled up so when the troops came home, they were hated. As if it was their choice to go to war and do what they did.

No, I don't think it's appropriate to protest at this point. Not that way anyway.

Every time I have heard a serviceman interviewed, he says that protesting the war is the equivalent to protesting the troops. They say you can't separate the two.
