Best Time of the Year for Disney World

In my opinion, the best time of the year for visiting Disney World is the last full week before Thanksgiving week. The crowds were tiny. We often had no waiting time at all, and I don't even recall worrying about fastpasses.

I've also been in the first week of February, and the crowds were nice then, but not as good as November. The seagulls were awful while we were there. They pooped on everything.

I've also been during the week of July 4-11th. It was incredibly hot and humid, and the crowds were huge.

What's your favorite time to go?

Campsites Season Dates

BTW, both of the November and February times we went were considered value seasons by Disney World for most resorts. All of the hotels are cheaper.

We went to Disney in Orlando in April of 2000 - it was the week of Easter, and most of the school spring breaks were over or just beginning. We had a great time there - I'd go again in a minute.

The snowbird season affects everything in Florida. They usually start coming down around October/November and go back April/May. So if you want nice weather and less crowds at theme parks, the beach, flea markets, everything, go early spring or mid fall. You can easily use swimming pools down here between April and November.

Disneyland Paris

For all the European visitors to this forum, we went to Disneyland Paris on 2nd January for three days before the children went back to school. If you don't mind dressing up warm it is a great time to visit and gives you something to look forward to as the Christmas break finishes.

Have fun.

ps. We stayed in a hotel two stops on the RER train from the park. Much better value and actually quicker to get into the park than staying at one of the Disneyland hotels.
