That was amazing!!! And they didn't just lose, they were dominated. We're so young and it was sort of a deer-in-headlights situation. But I'll give Puerto Rico credit - they're a small island with a big heart, all right.

I wish they would show less gymnastics and more of the other lesser known sports. I have respect for gymnasts and most of the gymnastic events, but the floor exercise I think is kind of pointless. Maybe if they would cut out the music and the little waves and all the prancing... basically it's just a dance with a few flips thrown in.

And the Iraq soccer team won again today!

I think they show so much gymnastics because it is very popular. They are going to show the most of whatever can get the best ratings.

Have you checked out http://www.nbcolympics.com/. The Olympics are on 24 hours a day, I'll bet you can record what you want to watch.

If anyone watched all the hype surrounding the women's marathon, this may interest you...

ATHENS (Reuters) - Japan's diminutive Mizuki Noguchi put on an extraordinary display of front-running to win the Olympic women's marathon title on Sunday as Paula Radcliffe's challenge ended in bitter tears.

Noguchi, the world silver medallist who weighs just 88 pounds and is 4 feet 9 inches tall, produced a killer surge up a series of torturous inclines just after the halfway mark to break clear.

She hung on to win by 12 seconds, timing two hours 26 minutes 20 seconds.

Silver went to fast-finishing world champion Catherine Ndereba of Kenya in 2:26:32, with bronze for Deena Kastor of the United States in 2:27:20.

Kastor ran a great race. She way back and just kept picking people off. It's too bad about Radcliffe though.

The US Softball team finally let someone score on them! Oh, and they won a gold medal, 5-1 over Australia

Now that the Olympics are over, how much did you watch? I only watched them when they were on in a restaurant or something.

We would watch the curling events. You had to get up early to catch them. Maybe next year the women's team will do better. I did watch some of the downhill skiing. That was about it at our house. We have our favorite events and the rest is so-so.
