Tipping at Nail Salon

I think I may already know the answer, but figured I'd ask anyway.

When going to a nail solon to get a color change (nothing more), they charge $15.00. I'm assuming the tip would be 15%, although some people tell me I should tip more. Approx. $5.

Any thoughts on this? Should I be tipping more than 15%?
Thanks.

Jamesglewisf is the tipping expert, but my guess is for $15 you would just round the tip up to $3. At a restaurant, you don't tip a higher percentage because the restaurant is a less expensive one.

Nail Tipping

Well, thats exactly what I did, and let me just say this..... The look of her face, when I handed her a $20 bill, and asked for $2 back, was pathetic. She looked surprised when I asked to have change, and although I don't know her language, I could tell by the tone of her voice as I was walking out the door, that she didn't like the fact that I only tipped her $3. Honestly, I probably would have tipped her $5, if she did an exceptional job, but it was far from that. I feel she did a poor and sloppy job. Oh well, live and learn. All I can say is, I won't be a returning customer.

Most people get here by clicking through from my tipping website www.tipguide.org. They come here to ask clarifying questions after googling to get to my tip guide.
